Hybrid Classroom Infrastructure

With the onset of the Pandemic came in a whole wave of change: change in the way we interact, celebrate and most importantly educate! From June 2020, education has gone online with both teachers and children learning new skills and adapting to technology. Teachers have given GST a new meaning – Good Screen Time.

At St. Stanislaus we realise the value of students being physically present. This impacts their emotional, psychological and academic growth. Yet, there are some parents who have reservations in sending their children to school. We respect that and keeping this in mind, our teaching-learning has evolved and we’ve moved into hybrid education. Through this method, the teacher conducts class physically, with some children physically present in class. Simultaneously, it is streamed to the children at home. The teacher can see and interact with the students at home, on a screen provided in the classroom.

Lunch program for the poor boys

Our school provides free lunch for the boys who come from poor families. We have a special fund for these children. This lunch program was started around 50 years ago when boys who were well off used to bring extra food and share it with the poor boys. Slowly people started donating money and space for a kitchen was allotted for food to be cooked in school. There are two women cooks and a helper who prepare healthy meals for our boys. During the lunch break the boys go to the Drawing Room which adjoins the kitchen and have their meal there. The school feeds nearly 200 children every working day.

Sponsorship of disadvantaged children's education

St. Stanislaus High School imparts education to many under privileged students. Many parents are not able to pay their children’s School fees. This need is greater during this time of the Pandemic crisis as many parents have lost their jobs.

Sports Infrastructure

St. Stanislaus has produced many world class sportsmen over the years who have represented India at the Olympics and International events. The sports equipment in the school is old and not in good condition to use in this current pandemic situation. Students require new, proper and latest sports equipment to comfortably practice and participate in sports competitions. Very soon our school teams will start practicing, but sports equipment is not enough to cater to the needs of all students. More equipment is needed as multiple teams are practicing simultaneously. In our school Volleyball, Basketball, Football, Hockey, Badminton, Kabaddi teams have regular practice.

School Band

The school band is an important and unique aspect of our school. School band programs are incredible for teaching teamwork, commitment and help our students to understand how hard work results in amazing performances. However, band programs are expensive to run and for students to participate in. Along with marching band instruments, accessories and sturdy equipment and uniforms are required.
